A Foggy Afternoon at La Parisienne Sky

What does a quiet afternoon above the city feel like?

One December afternoon felt like a soft moment of France found in a hilltop restaurant above the city.

Bonjour!

La Parisienne Sky is a French-European bakery and restaurant overlooking the cityscape along Tops Road in Cebu City. Known for its charming ambiance, elegant interiors and comforting dishes. The place feels like a quiet escape above the city, romantic, relaxed and inviting all at once.

It became the setting for our third son’s birthday celebration.

We entered from the back, but the charm of the place welcomed us all the same. The place was beautiful, with every corner feeling thoughtfully designed.

A ₱200 entrance fee applies, fully redeemable on your order.

The place was inviting and calm with soft lighting. The air carried a subtle mix of freshly baked bread and sweet pastries. Large windows framed the foggy city below, from the neatly arranged tables to the gentle hum of soft music in the background.

The weather that day was cold. We had hoped to see the city view, but everything was wrapped in thick clouds. The fog lingered around us as we dined and the moment felt even more magical, quiet, intimate and almost heavenly.

Before heading to La Parisienne Sky, my son suddenly mentioned that he wanted to eat at a restaurant. He was curious about slicing his own dish with a knife. It was such a small, unexpected wish, but I loved it. But, we agreed to order a pizza to share, and it came with individual plates, so he was still able to enjoy the experience of slicing his portion himself. His little hands, focused and proud, made the moment feel even more special.

We ordered a Flammekueche, and I was a little confused when it arrived, it didn’t look quite like the picture on the menu. Yet, despite its simple appearance, the flavor was surprisingly rich and satisfying. We also sampled some of their freshly baked breads and gelato, with so many tempting flavors to choose from.

No birthday celebration would be complete without a cake. I walked him around the display, asking which flavor he wanted. I quietly suggested the red velvet, but he confidently pointed to the chocolate. I ordered a single slice just for him and he enjoyed every bite.

After dining, we strolled around the place. It felt so cozy and inviting, with the freedom to explore every floor. Beautiful paintings and art installations caught our eyes at every turn, adding charm and personality to the space. We even peeked into their famous wine cellar, its neatly arranged bottles adding a touch of elegance. Wrapped in this warm and artistic atmosphere, it was the kind of place that made you want to stay a little longer.

It was a simple celebration, wrapped in fog, warmth and quiet joy. One of those moments that linger long after the plates are cleared.✨
